    Border path at the Gerechtigkeitswald with lots of boundary stones of the Kingdom of Württemberg from 1841, as well as the letter 'F' for Flacht. If you continue along this path towards Mönsheim, the numbering of the almost 20 boundary stones here is descending.

    Around 200 years ago, the citizens of Flacht still performed feudal services in the "Kronwald Hagenschieß". However, with the emancipation of the peasants in Württemberg, this practice came to an end. The Flacht farmers were freed from their forced labor in the forest, but also from their claims to timber. The contract from 1841 shows that 127 Flacht farm owners were given 12 hectares of forest as free property. This contract ensured that the Flacht residents had their building and firewood needs on their own doorstep. The Gerechtigkeitswald Flacht still exists today and is marked by signs and boundary stones. You will find our Gerechtigkeitswald when you leave Flacht towards Mönsheim. It runs parallel to the postal route, which is located near the Flachter Waldhütte. The original ownership relationship still exists today and is firmly tied to the house and property conditions measured at the time. This ensures that the Gerechtigkeitswald always remains in Flachter hands. In order to regulate the rights and obligations arising from this ownership, the Gerechtigkeitswald Flacht was notarized in 1988 to form a civil law partnership, which is still valid today.
