The park in Świnoujście is huge. There you will find very well-tended footpaths planted with flowers, but also large forest areas. It is a separate enclave in the middle of the city, isolated from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. It's perfect for long and quiet walks. It has many climatically lit alleys, making it mostly suitable for after-dark walks. There are benches and seating, often in the form of fallen logs. In hot weather, the shade of the park trees offers plenty of rest and respite from the sun.
The park was created more than 200 years ago by reforestation of the then existing shallow sea. Today it is a historic building and many of the trees growing here are over 150 years old.
