    The "Dhünn plateau" around the Great Dhünn Dam and the Eifgen Valley is widely known for its impressive and varied landscape in the midst of beautiful nature: characterized by a varied topography, large forest areas and open meadows, crossed by the Dhünn and Eifgen with their numerous tributaries, the Dhünn plateau is a highly attractive living, recreational and natural area.

    Together with the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis and the Wupperverband, the surrounding municipalities of Burscheid, Kürten, Odenthal and Wermelskirchen have developed a project that highlights the special features of the landscape and the importance of the largest drinking water dam in western Germany.
