The Sohlschwelle in Plattling, an artificial river wave in the Isar, is one of the best playspots in Germany.
A whitewater flow is simulated here in the Isar with the help of a 30 m wide roller. The Isarwelle is an Eldorado for freestyle canoeists and surfers and the venue for German and international championships. Location: At the B8, Isarbrücke.

Isar Sohlschwelle / Isar wave in Plattling NBay.
The best known and probably best standing wave in Lower Bavaria is the Isar Sohlschwelle in Plattling. This is mainly due to the framework conditions.
