"The fable fountain on the village square in Böchingen is reminiscent of the Kammertbau, a type of education in viticulture that was also cultivated in Böchingen (18th to the beginning of the 20th century). Fuchs and Hahn stand for cunning as well as alertness and pride and also for the village population of Böchingen. The fountain was designed and built in 1999/2000 as part of the redesign of the village square by Burghard Knauf and Daniel-Moritz Lehr. Since then, the village square has served as a meeting place and venue for many village festivals. "
