Moermond Castle, sometimes called “Kasteel Moermond”, is located in Renesse on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It was built in the 13th century and has had a varied history with numerous destructions and reconstructions. The oldest preserved part dates from 1513 and the castle has been renovated several times, especially after damage caused by natural disasters and wars.
