    1525 At the beginning of the 16th century, Georg von Woellwarth's life at the Rosenstein hilltop castle became too inhospitable. That is why he had a large, new aristocratic house built within the protective walls of the city - the Heubach Castle.

    1625 One hundred years later, the castle was rebuilt according to the changed expectations of living comfort. The large rooms were divided into smaller rooms. This created self-contained apartments and the number of heatable rooms increased from five in the 16th century to eight in the 17th century.

    1744 Until the beginning of the 18th century, the castle served as a residence for various members of the Woellwarth family. In the 18th century the castle passed into bourgeois, then into rural ownership and was only rebuilt according to the aspects of practicality. The attic and the second floor were used as storage and hayloft. As a result, the second floor remained almost unchanged.

    1991 After repurchasing the last private share of the property, the city was able to start renovating the castle. 1997 the city library was inaugurated and the partially renovated castle was opened to visitors. The most beautiful of the rooms has since been used as a wedding room. The unique corsetry museum of the city of Heubach is housed in the renovated rooms on the first floor. The local museum collection "historical fragments" on the first floor gives an insight into our past.
