Unlike all the other fountains in the city, the Röderbrunnen in the Rödergasse is broadly situated in an extension of the Rödergasse, so it could also serve as a drinking fountain. As well as the Johannisbrunnen the Röderbrunnen is calibrated and was adapted in 1716 to the needs of the city. It has a capacity "on 21 feet, 3 buckets and 4 measure".
