      Interesting facts about the border town of Oberholzklau

      Oberholzklau lies at an altitude of approximately 350-400 meters, surrounded by magnificent nature, inviting for hiking, exploring, and relaxing. Our village was first mentioned in 1079. Under Count William the Rich, the Oberholzklau congregation became Lutheran in 1531. Count John VI introduced the Reformed doctrine in 1578. A new rectory (the current old one) was built in 1608.
