From 1898 to 1965, the Hoppegarten–Altlandsberg railway connected the small town of Altlandsberg in today’s Märkisch-Oderland district on the eastern edge of Berlin with the Berlin–Küstrin main railway line, part of the Prussian Eastern Railway opened in 1867. The information board is located on the old railway embankment Altlandsberg corner Schwerinstraße at the NSG Wiesengrund. On the way between Altlandsberg and Hoppegarten you can still find parts of the tracks. I have added photos of track remains outside of Altlandsberg to the highlight here.

Opposite the information board on Schwerinstraße there used to be the Altlandsberg-Vorstadt stop (formerly the Hp. District Court), but nothing can be seen of it anymore. I was also very annoyed about the graffiti and I'm glad that it was removed.
