The Laberviadukt near Deining is a railway bridge on the Nuremberg - Regensburg route and crosses the valley of the white Laber. It is 319 m long and is also called Deininger Bridge or Deining Railway Bridge. Construction began in 1870. Due to a massive setback, however, the bridge could not be inaugurated on the planned date, but only with the line from Neumarkt to Seubersdorf in May 1873. From 1895 the Laberviadukt was expanded to two tracks. From 1960 the bridge was overhauled. Because of the curve in the middle, no two-way traffic was allowed on the railway bridge and the maximum speed was 50 km / h. Today the trains can cross the bridge in two-way traffic and at speeds of up to 120 km / h.
