The flood retention basin Leineck (also Leinecksee or Leineckstausee) is a reservoir near Alfdorf in Rems-Murr-Kreis. It is one of eleven retention basins of the "Kocher-Lein" water association.
Since the Leinecksee is located in the Welzheimer forest, the area is very good for hiking and cycling. There is parking and signposted hiking trails. At the lake there are two public barbecue areas, each with a children's playground. At one of the barbecue areas is a log cabin. On the shores of Leinecksee Lake is also the Seehof restaurant with cocktail bar.
In 1998, the basin of Leinecksee was adapted to the current safety regulations and in 2003 the existing asphalt surface seal was improved.
