The Church of Reixac is located next to the Besos River in the town of Montcada i Reixac. It has been documented since the year 992. It was remade in the middle of the 11th century and consecrated in 1048. Around the year 1676 it was transformed, acquiring the appearance that we can see today.

It was a parish until 1876. What stands out about the church is its tower, with a square base and octagonal top, from the 17th century.

It has two naves with semicircular arches inside, covered with modern barrel vaults, topped with apse facing east. It is believed that the midday nave could be from the 10th century and the other would correspond to the 11th century reform.

It also has inside a carving of the image of Mare de Déu, from a late Romanesque or proto-Gothic period (12th to 13th century transition).

Where the door that communicates with the main nave is now, there used to be a lowered semicircular arch that is currently walled up.

The church has suffered two major fires, one in 1652 and another in 1936, which caused major, almost complete restorations to its architecture.

The complex was restored by Jeroni Martorell in 1951.

The building plan is similar to Sant Joan de Boí and the octagonal bell tower is similar to that of Sant Pere de les Puel·les (Barcelona) and Sant Celoni.

Medieval Montcada and L'Ermita de Reixac, from the 11th century Romanesque. The hermitage of San Pedro de Reixac is a historical symbol of the
municipality and one of the oldest and best elements
      preserved local cultural heritage.
The temple has two parallel naves oriented from east to
speaker. The largest, covered with a barrel vault and topped
through a rectangular apse from the 12th century, it communicates with the
lateral by two lowered arches. The apse, with a plan of
horseshoe, crowns the side nave and reveals the oldest part
of the construction, from the 10th century. The entrance door is arched
semicircular, voussoired and decorated by a molding. The spirit
of the initial Romanesque is evident in the volumetric expression
external of the internal spaces or in the thickness of the walls.
Bell Tower Attached to the main nave, the base used
as sacristy. It has a square floor plan that becomes
in octagonal. It has four semicircular arch openings. the
Its construction corresponds to the 11th-12th centuries, although the
base there are remains of a previous construction.
Cemetery Located next to the bell tower. The entrance gate
      It has gothic influences.
House of nuns attached to the church. is decorated
      with a gothic window.
Medieval settlement of Reixac On the Valent hill,
Remains of pavement appear from the rooms at the cut of the
path, which seems to be from the medieval center of Pasturana.

It was built during the 10th century by the peasants who lived
the interior valleys of the Sierra de Marina. The hermitage of
Reixac was consecrated in 1048, although it already appeared
documented in 976. The town and the old parish of San
Pere de Reixac, documented in the 10th century (963), belonged to the
monasteries of San Jerónimo de la Murtra and Sant Cugat del
      Vallès until the 18th century.
In 1652, during the Reapers' War, the thirds of the
Count-Duke of Olivares burned the church. the restorations
from 1676 they little respected the original Romanesque.
