This year I completed the Teufelsmauer completely in 3 stages. It's great what nature creates. This in the middle of Germany. The walkable section of the wall between Blankenburg and Timmenrode should definitely be taken on the Kammweg. Wonderful views, beautiful scenery and great photo opportunities await every hiker. Sturdy shoes and surefootedness are required and you should have a head for heights.

The Teufelsmauer is without a doubt one of the most grandiose hiking areas in the Harz Mountains. Impressive sandstone rock formations tower over several kilometers in the landscape near Blankenburg, Weddersleben and Ballenstedt.
In Blankenburg (Harz) you can climb around 2 km directly on the natural climbing route, an insider tip for all sporty hikers.
The short circular trail leads first on the shady northern slope trail to the mediaeval, stone Heidelberg lookout point and back to Blankenburg on the ridge trail.
