The port of Bisceglie is of the fishing-tourist type. In defense of the basin which is spread over an area of approximately 100,000 m², there are the western pier (new pier) and the eastern dam (Bourbonic pier).
The port is located near the ancient core of the city, which overlooks it, constituting its characterizing element [8]. Inside the port basin there is a small islet called "La Cassa", which emerges with some bollards [9].
