The classic and the symbol of Mölln.
Nobody likes it when their weaknesses, mistakes and vanities are held up to them in a mirror, especially not by a fool. Till Eulenspiegel knew no mercy and particularly denounced the ailing conditions of late medieval society. Self-satisfied citizens as well as the corrupt nobility but also the church were unmasked by him. The myth about Till Eulenspiegel and his numerous pranks has been around for several hundred years, even if it is difficult to provide evidence of its real existence. The oldest edition of the Eulenspiegel book by the customs clerk and writer Hermann Bote dates back to 1510.
