    Beautiful road through the Beverbeekse Heide nature reserve, cars are also allowed to drive here.
    Do you prefer a car-free cycle path? Then you can cross the Grensdijk through the beautiful forest area.

    The Beverbeekse Heide is a nature reserve between Hamont and the Achelse Kluis.
    It is a former heathland that is mostly planted with Scots pine and covers 134 ha. It is largely owned by the Catholic University of Leuven. To the north of this, close to the Dutch border, is a heathland and fens area where we find, among other things, the Wolfsven and the Kerkven. The last fen is named after the border church that existed here from 1648 to 1672.
    To the south of this lies the Elsbroek, a recognized nature reserve, a moist nature reserve in the valley of the Beverbeekloop.
    To the west of the forest complex, against the Warmbeek, is Rozendaal, a forest of another 102 ha. To the north of the ruins of Castle Grevenbroek you can still find the late farm of the estate.
    In the east, on the Dutch border, you can find a replica of De WIne, a border barrier from the First World War.
