The Hobokense Polder owes its name to the former polder area that stretched along the banks of the Scheldt: low-lying land that was regularly flooded and was cultivated by modest farmers. Since the embankments, which were carried out from the 1960s onwards, that area has permanently disappeared. A nature reserve of 170 ha located between the residential area Polderstad, Petroleum Zuid and the Scheldedijk. Now it is a green oasis in the middle of the suburb of Antwerp. Large Grazers and numerous bird species have their habitat here. Wonderful nature reserve to wander around and discover.

The Hobokense Polder is one of the most beautiful green spots in Antwerp. The perfect place to immerse yourself in nature for a few hours and escape the hustle and bustle of life.

An unknown pearl in the southern edge of Antwerp is highly recommended to discover.
Various hiking trails, ranging from 1 to 7.5 km, take you through a special landscape. Wearing waterproof footwear is recommended.
