In the meadows and pastures on the Mühlensee (Molenplas) free-range Galloway cattle can be observed. Likewise, a herd Konik horses is located here.

"...Our determination is suddenly dampened when we pass a herd of Galloway cattle. The black animals eye us rather suspiciously. But I can only cast that glance back. After all, I don't want the cattle to move and come into close contact. But this worry is completely unfounded, because the Galloway cattle are enjoying the sunshine just like us and eventually continue grazing peacefully. There's supposed to be a herd of freely grazing Konik horses, too, but we can't find them anywhere..."
