With the Bullayer "Brautrock" fountain, the citizens of the municipality of Bullay have erected a worthy monument to their large wine estate "Bullayer Brautrock". The fountain was built in 1990 by the well-known artist Scherl from Wittlich. It is particularly striking that the bride was made entirely of copper.
The well-known large-scale winery "Bullayer Brautrock" is based on a legend from days long past: In order to fill the count's coffers again, Count Beissel mortgaged his vineyard to pay for the bridal equipment, including the bridal skirt, for a knight's maiden that his son was to marry. Ironically, the future father-in-law was the pledgee, then furnished his daughter himself and gave the vineyard back to his son-in-law at the wedding, but not without ulterior motives, because he demanded that all income from this vineyard should go to his daughter - the vineyard had his names.

At this point / I would like to quickly / say something about the source
(whereby it corresponds to the art of poetry / if this 'source' is a 'well'):
To quote the incomparable humorist Heinz Erhardt (1909 - 1979), who was known to a wide audience for his word jokes and "Noch'n poem", with a short quatrain:
"There is certainly much beauty in
      on the element, the wet.
Because you can drink the water.
But you can - also leave it."
      (H.Erhardt)

        Look closely at the lady...-
        She's spinning!😉
The origin goes back to a legend:
During the 12th century, Bullay was a free imperial city with its own jurisdiction, its own laws and its own folk customs. Later, Bullay was the seat of the Counts Zank and the residence of the Counts Beisel. According to legend, the counts lived in luxury until they were almost bankrupt in the 16th century and all the counts' coffers were empty. All hope therefore rested on the young count's son, Count Beisel, who wanted to marry a well-off knight's maiden. Traditionally, the count's son was responsible for financing the bridal gown and the celebration. Since the count's son could not afford this, the following compromise was made:
The bride's father agreed to finance the bridal gown and the celebration if he received an entire vineyard from the count in return. This exchange made a lavish celebration possible. As part of the ceremony, the bride's father gave the vineyard back and formulated a well-thought-out condition: the entire proceeds from this Brautrock vineyard would go to the daughter and serve as a support for her in the event that the count's son led a life as extravagant as his father, Count Beisel. This is how the vineyard's name Brautrock came about.
