From May 1st, 2023 there will be a small boat traffic on the Herrenteich again. The city intends to submit a proposal to this effect at the next city council meeting. The Herrenteich is an integral part of today's cityscape: the city in the countryside and a small oasis between the modern buildings. Originally it served as a fire pond and for fish farming. Later it became a popular destination with a water fountain and boat rentals.
