Idyllically situated on the Mörnbach, with the backdrop of the south wing of Tüßling Castle, the visitor to the market in Tüßling almost sees the water wheel as a landmark. It is one of several water wheels that used the water power of the Möhnbach in the market and foremarket of Tüßling.

In the market town of Tüßling, more water wheels can be seen on the survey map from 1848, namely two at the Hofmühle, which has since been demolished, and another at the level of the south-east tower of the service wing of Tüßling Castle.
