The Oostmolen of Kloetinge is a round brick mill from 1704 that has been whitewashed in Zeeland tradition. The mill is covered with roofing felt and has a radius of 21.60/21.75 meters. It is an iconic mill that stands on an elevation in the beautiful Kloeting landscape. The mill still runs regularly. The mill had no name, but was previously called 'the Herdink mill', after the miller at the time. In the meantime, research has shown that the name “Oostmolen” is the official name of the mill. The Molenaars are Rens Deurloo and Jan Willem Bruel. Nowadays assisted by Martijn Gijssel. Rens Deurloo maintains the mill together with volunteers Cock Schrijver, Hans Nouse and Ruud van Driel. The Mill is being renovated step by step.
