A beautiful, large meadow that is often used as a sledding slope into the Charlottental in winter. (Also from us a long time ago 😁) The Panzerstrasse runs above to the former military training area of the Belgian garrison near Alchen - today's popular NSG Trupbacher Heide. Contrary to the tips of the previous tipsters: on this meadow, which is described here as a tip, there was never a military training area, but only a meadow. From there you have a great view of the Weidenau Giersberg as well as the Siegberg with the Upper Castle and St. Nicholas Church. It is also a very large dog walking area. Above the meadow was only the former ammunition depot, still fenced in today - the barracks between the earthworks have now been dismantled. The so-called Panzerstrasse runs from the square in the area of today's entrance to the Siegen Children's Clinic. The tank garages, factory halls and barracks buildings were located there. Today children's hospital parking lot.
