Copper ore was primarily mined here. The silver that has meanwhile also been extracted.
The pit was operated over three soles. The mouth of the lower gallery is a few meters above the Friedrich pit in the Schweins Valley, but on the opposite side of the valley. The "Middle Stollen" is about 30 meters above this gallery and the "Upper Stollen" is again about 22 meters above it. This “upper gallery” was later mined and the remains can still be seen clearly and impressively.
