The entire route is easy to walk. Gentle climbs, a pleasant mix of paved field paths and natural forest paths provide plenty of variety.
A total of 10 thematically structured stations await you. Starting at "A", at the edge of the orchard "Auf dem Buschel" on panel 1 you will find out something about the "Vier-Mühlen-Tal" because the "Raibach" was once a "fast-flowing body of water" on the way to Umstadt at least four mill wheels. Panel 2 provides information about the meadow orchard, a valuable habitat in a traditional cultural landscape. At the same height, with a view of the street village of Raibach, you continue to the quarry "Am Heegwald", where the hiker learns that, among other things, the "Lange Ludwig" in Darmstadt was made from Raibach sandstone. In the quarry there is a shelter built by the AG and on information board 5 you can find out a lot about the profession of stone carvers and stonemasons.

If you choose the longer route, you will come to the abandoned "old quarry" on the Schafkaute, directly at the nature park car park of the same name and the bus stop there. On the Binselberg you reach a historic wayside cross, which is described in more detail on a board. Continue downhill to the "Bachgauer Hohl" (8), one of many caves that once shaped the slopes around Raibach and supplied the stream.

From there you can either go to z. T. narrow and steep but cozy cross paths to the historic town center or past the Schützenhaus to the main street - the small excursion to the church is worth it either way. The lilac path, which runs parallel to the road for 50 m, leads directly back to the starting point.
