In the issue of August 28/29, 2021, the Märkische Bote writes about the Hermannsberg: It is not certain whether the prince once planned it as a pyramid or wanted to create a water reservoir for fountains on its summit. In 1868 he had the work started by excavating the Snake Lake. The Hermannsberg, perhaps dedicated to the maternal grandfather, Count Hermann von Callenberg (1744-1795), was supposed to be 30 meters high. However, by the time the prince died, it only reached half and remained covered by pine trees. In the 1970s, the line of sight to the land pyramid was opened before the restoration, which has now been completed, began in 2011. To emphasize the parking space, bushes from the park's own tree university were planted. Finally, a round bench came on the Hermannsberg, from which one can relax and enjoy the view of the land pyramid and the lake pyramid, which can be seen at the beginning.

The Hermannsberg is probably Prince Pückler's most mysterious creation in Branitz Park.
