In the small village of Attsjö, which lies on the road between Furuby and Dödesjö, lies Lilla Attsjön, also called Byasjön. In 2011, Södra and the 5 private individuals who together own the land began to redesign the lake of approximately 55 hectares. After a very long work, they finally received the green light from the Swedish Board of Agriculture and the Land and Environment Court to start the project.

Walkway around Lilla AttsjönIn the summer of 2014, all work began such as felling trees, building roads and digging ditches etc. In January everything was finished as a large parking lot, 2 bird towers, 2 windbreaks, 3 wooden bridges, 2 bulletin boards and several along the walkway around the lake Benches built.

In November 2015, the Lilla Attsjön association was awarded the Växjö municipality's landscape protection award for the redesign of the bird lake.
