The Ullsteinhaus in the south of Berlin in the Tempelhof district of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district is a monument of Brick Expressionism and was built in the mid-1920s according to plans by the architect Eugen Schmohl, who died before completion. Until the completion of the Friedrich-Engelhorn-Hochhaus (demolition: 2014) in 1957, it was the tallest skyscraper in Germany for 30 years.

After a series of changes of ownership over the last few decades, the previous owner Becker & Kries announced in October 2015 that the Ullsteinhaus would be ready for the "1. October to a family business” was sold. According to research by the RBB evening show, the building was acquired by a real estate company owned by the Samwer brothers, as various other daily newspapers reported.

From 1996 to 2003, the 'Blonds' discotheque was housed in the basement of the Ullsteinhaus - accessible via Mariendorfer Damm - and was particularly popular because of its favorable location and the inviting terrace with a view of the Teltow Canal. The 'Amber Suite' discotheque is now located in these premises.
