In 1877 Josef Chapel was built in neo-gothic style thanks to the authority of Josef Walter, who died in 1875.

It is located in the Gewau Hochau southwest of Neuhausen on dirt road to Harthausen, idyllically surrounded by old trees overlooking the Filderebene.

In the chapel stands as a central figure above the altar of St. Joseph with baby Jesus. To

mention are the two windows, based on designs by the artist Hermann Geyer

go back (1953, 1988).

In 1988, the chapel was renovated by the Civil Guard and the Good Shepherd statue got its place in the niche in the gable. Since 1996, the Schoenstatt Group has been responsible for the floral decoration in the chapel.

In the same year, an MTA picture (Mater Ter Admirabilis: Mother Thrice Admirable) was placed to the left of the statue of Joseph and inaugurated.

Worth seeing are the 1953 newly designed Stations of the Cross, which are grouped around the chapel.

The chapel is open on Sundays. During the week, visitors can take a look inside through the door grid. On request, a key can be collected in the rectory.
