Despite the disappearance of their roof in the 18th century, the Covered Bridges have kept their original name. They have preserved the beautiful towers which were attached to the fortifications of the former free imperial city of Strasbourg. Opposite, you can admire the Vauban dam built in the 17th century. To have a magnificent view of the bridges with the Grande Île and Strasbourg Cathedral in the background, do not hesitate to climb on Vauban's construction.

A symbol of Strasbourg, the Ponts Couverts includes three bridges connected to each other, in addition to several stone towers that used to serve as defenses.
