If you are good on foot, you should walk up from the Albisgüetli tram stop (No. 13) via Förreneggweg (left of Lanternenweg). Very nice path, quite steep in places, just above the Üetlibertunnel entrance the path was expanded with metal stairs.
Tip 2:
For top-fit hikers, the Denzlerweg is the absolute highlight. The path is very steep and consists of 95% wooden stairs. The entrance also begins at the Albisgüetli tram stop (No. 13). First follow the lantern path but take the first path to the right before the steep climb. The first junction to the left is the beginning of Denzlerweg.
