    The brick church with a flat-roofed nave and cross-ribbed vaulted choir was built around 1360. The half-timbered roof tower was rebuilt in 1835. Some of the preserved medieval furnishings include the altar crucifix, a bronze bell and the sacrament shrine. This was carved from a single oak trunk.
    Also worth mentioning is the baroque pulpit, which was created in 1653.

      "The medieval brick church in Groß Zicker was built around 1400 after the Eldena monastery acquired the "Land Zicker" in 1360.
      The Groß Zicker church is the oldest building on the Mönchgut peninsula.
      The wars in the 17th and 19th centuries did not damage the church or the interior, with the five-sided, cross-ribbed vaulted choir and the flat-roofed nave. The furnishings dating from the Middle Ages include the altar mensa, the sacrament shrine (which was hewn from a single oak trunk) and a bell.
      This bell is one of the oldest bells on the island of Rügen and bears the inscription "O rex glorie christe. veni cum pace" (Christ, King of Glory, come with peace), which was often given in the Middle Ages.
      The baroque pulpit was built around 1653, the organ by the Grüneberg company from Stettin around 1864 and the church chandelier, which was donated by pilots from Thiessow, in 1868.
      This chandelier bears inscriptions from former pilots who served at the Thiessow pilot station.
      Also worth mentioning is the sundial by C.Hintze from Putbus, which is attached to the southern exterior and which enriched the Groß Zicker church at the beginning of the 20th century, and the cemetery adjacent to the church with historical graves."
