Around the Vogelherd Cave is the Archäopark Vogelherd, which is all about the caves and the Ice Age art on the Swabian Alb. The highlights are, of course, the cave and the more than 40,000-year-old "works of art" of the then cave dwellers, such as the small sculpture of a "lion man". In the outdoor area there are many stations to discover more, sometimes you are even encouraged to join. The park is open daily from 10 to 18 o'clock, only on Mondays is rest day.

Vogelherd cave

The cave was strategically located on a rock spur 20 meters above the lone and opened a perfect 180 ° view over the valley, which here describes a small kink. The archaeopark as a destination

At our freely accessible barbecue area, barbecuing is done over an open fire, as it was 40,000 years ago. From the "ox fire spit" to the "grilled fish" or at least the "Rossfeuersteak a'la Aurignacien"? These and other specialties from the Vogelherd are available in the Park Café. Or would you like to bring your own barbecue food? Then the barbecue can be taken for a small fee. After an eventful stay in the park, a refreshment can not hurt!
