They are working on the land near Gut Schweighof in the service of nature conservation, grazing in a sense on official orders. The extensive pasture on which they are located belongs to the North Bavaria Highway Directorate. It was designed as a compensation area for the construction of the A73 motorway through the Coburg region. Large portions of the trees and bushes were removed. The animals are intended to prevent the area from becoming overgrown again.
