Unfortunately the Kicher Alm was closed during our visit on 22.6.2018. It did not look as if she would reopen soon. The Seespitz Alm is highly recommended and only 20 minutes away.

Vigiljoch in the narrower sense refers to a 1743 m s.l.m. high crossing over the northeastern foothills of the Zufrittkamms of the Ortler Alps in South Tyrol (Italy). This is located between smaller, mostly wooded hilltops and is the site of the church of St. Vigil am Joch with frescoes from the 14th century. In the broader sense, Vigiljoch is also the name given to the surrounding mountain ridge, without distinctive peaks, which rises between the lower Vinschgau, the Burggrafenamt around Meran and the entrance of the Ultental Valley and in south-westerly direction only to the Naturnser Hochjoch gaining in height ( Wikipedia).
A great landscape with an outstanding panoramic view of the Ortler Alps. The Alm has a delicious menu, great soups!
