In the middle of the Geopark Bergstraße-Odenwald nature park, which has been awarded the “UNESCO Global Geopark” award since 2015, is the FriedWald Michelstadt in the Odenwald.

A colorful mixture of coniferous and deciduous trees as well as a landscape characterized by colored sandstone determine the appearance. Wood anemones, various types of fern, star moss, sorrel or blackberry adorn the forest floor. Up to 185 years old beeches, oaks and pines rise from it into the sky. These magnificent trees can be chosen as a burial place in the FriedWald. Funerals to younger firs, larches and birches are also possible.

The forest is particularly idyllic due to the quietly babbling, small stream called "Silberbrünnchen", which meanders through the trees. A shelter at the fork in the long aisle / snipe path and numerous benches along the forest paths invite you to relax and linger. Two places of worship offer a place for funeral services or the beginning of a funeral. They are each equipped with benches and an urn parking space and offer space for mourning and commemoration.
