Built in the period around 1258 Johanneskapelle is a Gothic brick building - named after John the Baptist. The entrance leads through a half-timbered (16th century) bridal house - crowned by a wooden ridge with a bell from 1631.

Opening hours:
In July and August, the chapel can be visited on Saturdays between 16:00 and 18:00 for private worship, meditation or sightseeing.

The Evangelical Lutheran Johanneskapelle in Adendorf is a listed building
Gothic hall church. It was built according to a note in the Lüner church book in 1258 and named after John the Baptist.
In the 16th century, a wooden half-timbered bridal house was added to the longitudinal south wall, which is crowned by a wooden, six-sided roof turret, in which there is a church bell cast in 1631. In the middle of the 19th century the chapel was only rarely used. However, it was thoroughly repaired in 1846.

The church furnishings include a three-part winged altar from the first half of the 17th century. The picture in the middle shows the resurrection according to Albrecht Dürer. St. George and James the Elder can be seen on the inside on the side wings, and on the outside the Lord's Supper and baptism. The organ with seven registers, a manual and an attached pedal was built by Rudolf von Beckerath in 2002.
