The Van Helmontmolen (also: Getemolen or Watermill on the Gete) is a former watermill on the Gete, located at Zwarte Duivelsstraat 35 in Halen.
The mill was built in the 17th century and served as a flour mill. The core of the current building dates from this time. It is made of brick and sandstone. It was heavily modified in the 2nd half of the 19th century. During the First World War the building was damaged and then repaired, and restoration also took place in 1974.
Around 1911 the water wheel was replaced by a turbine. The mill house was later converted into a house, but the work in progress was retained and integrated into the interior. The lock bridge was also preserved.
The whole is a complex, consisting of the mill house, the miller's house, and service buildings. The western view was best preserved.
The mill, together with the nearby brewery and distillery, forms an important industrial-historical complex.
