      A new construction with the tent roof of the tower took place in 1565-1567. In 1728 the simple Romanesque church in need of repair was redesigned and received an additional baroque tower. The original bell still hangs in the lantern of the little tip.

      As a result of the renovation, the entire church became somewhat somber due to the altar covering, which took up the entire choir room. That was changed in 1956/57 when the pulpit altar was simply removed. A free-standing, elevated altar was created. Instead of the high pulpit, an ambon was built next to the altar. The galleries were shortened so that a bright sanctuary was created.

      In 1974 the St. Nikolai church in Langenstein was abandoned due to dilapidation. The art goods were relocated, and so the baroque altar and the pulpit came into the St. Martin church.

      The organ brochure was built in 1795/96 and completed in 1826. Unfortunately, the work on the second gallery is partly built into the church ceiling, which affects the sound.

      The brass pot from the 16th century shows the history of Mary in writing on the floor.
