    Shortly after the asphalt road through Herrlingen, the small Lauter begins on the right (as always seen in the direction of the river 😉), the unpaved cycle and hiking path into the small Lauter valley. Under shady trees you cycle very relaxed along the river towards Lautern. From the hillside, hiking trails / trails repeatedly lead onto the path, so a little care and consideration is required. Ideally during the week and on the weekend it is a popular destination and quite crowded. Suitable for all types of bike, the paths are quite steep at least in the uphill and almost impossible to manage in the wet, in the downhill it is S1. At the end, the lamb at the source of the Lauter invites you to stop for a break.

      The Lautertal offers a wonderful, picturesque and lovely landscape and is absolutely worth a visit! This applies to cyclists of all stripes, especially "ordinary" cyclists who can comfortably roll along the difficult paths in the valley (which is also a real option for seasoned mountain bikers in THIS landscape!). There are also trails on the slopes.
