The Milchbar is the cult bar on the beach promenade and is known for its relaxed, informal atmosphere. Almost every evening people gather here to enjoy the sunset together with cool drinks and the chilled music of the DJ duo Blank and Jones. Then it can get a little crowded. But if it's too busy on the terrace and on the promenade directly in front of the milk bar, I recommend simply getting a cool drink at the counter and finding a seat a few meters further away on the promenade. After sunset, simply return the empty glass or bottle to the milk bar
But it's worth a visit all day long. The menu features milk rice, salads, soups and other delicacies. I can particularly recommend the sea buckthorn milk and the rice pudding. Self-service prevails in the restaurant and on the terrace. Inside you can enjoy the direct, sheltered view of the sea in comfortable armchairs or warm up by the fireplace when the weather is not so great. In summer, on the other hand, the large outdoor terrace and the sun loungers lure you in.
Twice a year, Blank and Jones DJ for free directly in the milk bar. These sunset sessions are legendary and unfortunately very crowded. The milk bar then bursts at the seams. The music is very nice though. The CDs can also be purchased in the milk bar.
