    The herd of European white donkeys, an old breed of domestic animal that was bred in the Baroque and has now almost died out, pleases the eye and heart. And the quiet, idyllic place in Seewinkel, where the beautiful animals are allowed to live, is also a treat for people: climb the lookout tower and enjoy the panoramic view or take a seat on one of the seating areas and let your mind wander. And marvel at the wonders of nature! A wonderful place in the national park: the preservation broth Sandegg - Neudegg!

      "This former Hungarian border watchtower stood near Fertöujlak (Mexico Puszta) until 1993. After being dismantled and renovated, it was rebuilt here in June 1994. Instead of its former military function, it is now used for nature observation. The viewing platform is at a height of 6.5 meters, the tower is 16 meters high."

From the first platform, which you reach via a very steep metal staircase, I had a wonderful panoramic view of the Neusiedlersee - Seewinkel National Park and the Sandegg - Neudegg conservation zone, where a herd of European white donkeys, an old domestic breed, is kept.

      A very idyllic place where you can stay for a while. Seating invites you to eat the snack you brought with you. Cranes flew over us several times and a rabbit hopped through the donkey enclosure. A small part of the access road is very sandy and the bike has to be pushed partially.
