    Radio Kootwijk, a famous building in the middle of nowhere used to broadcast and telephone back and forth to former 'Nederlands Indie', Indonesia nowadays. The fields surrounding this building where littered with giant antennas. Now the building sits in peace in the fields only used for cultural events.

          Stands like a cathedral in the middle of the heather fields. This used to be a radio station connection the Netherlands to Indonesia (Dutch East Indies), since a decade or two it is occasionally in used for events. Nice place to rest, can be a bit busy in the weekend and during the summer vacation.

                                  Bizarre sight, such an architectural masterpiece in the Middle of nowhere. But also: there are a lot of beautiful gravel paths around this, one with an even better view of Radio Kootwijk than the other. In particular, the path that almost runs against the building on the west side is worth the effort.
