            The station building was built in 1855-1857 according to a project by Wilhelm Grapow. In the two hundred meter long glass hall there was a platform and a sales and information point for travelers. The railway developed dynamically and at the end of the 19th century the decision was made to enlarge the station.
            The object was modernized in the years 1899-1904. The tracks were moved to the southern side of the previous station hall and the platforms were raised by four to five meters. At the same time, the construction of the railway overpass, which led to the railway station via the western part of the city, continued. Nowadays there are pubs in the area of the flyover at ul. Bogusławskiego.
