A fabulous burger experience in the Wachau. On the right bank of the Danube - on a steep cliff above the Danube - lies the Aggstein castle ruin, which has been lovingly revitalized in recent years and turned into a fabulous experience for its visitors. The Kuenringers already ruled here and there are many legends surrounding the so-called “rose garden”. April 30, 2022 - A nice experience, visiting the castle when the weather is nice. A little head for heights is helpful when going up the stairs. Good footwear recommended. You can even drive to the castle by car, but the ascent on foot also has its charm. Once at the top, the view is the best.
