Lebanon, Missouri is the county seat of Laclede County and one of the many interesting towns along Route 66.

A Lebanon landmark along Route 66 is Wrink's Market, which opened in June 1950 and continued to operate until Glenn Wrinkle's death in March 2005. This was a unique vintage market where you could see not only food but also collectibles, haberdashery and Route 66 memorabilia.

However, the main attraction was always Glenn Wrinkle himself, able to amaze the Route 66 traveler with his stories spanning more than half a century along the Mother Road. Unfortunately, the street lost another paragraph in its history when Mr Wrinkle died in March 2005 and the family auctioned off the contents of the store. His son briefly revived the market as a convenience store, but it closed in 2009.

In June 2017, Wrinks Market was once again revived by his granddaughter Katie Hapner. Hapner told the Lebanon Daily Record, "I think Wrink's Market should be here. My grandfather loved Route 66 and all the people who came through it. That's why he did it and I think that's why I want to do it. It's for her, his customers, the people he loved so much. "

Located in southern Missouri on the edge of the Ozarks, Lebanon straddles Interstate 44. Today, this small town of about 12,000, though nestled among flowering trees, cool streams, and rolling hills, is growing rapidly. Even so, wonderful glimpses of vintage America can still be found in the thriving franchised malls and hotels.

Lebanon has also long been known for its "magnetic" water. It is said that tools that came into contact with the water from the springs became magnetic and the water was said to have healing powers, which is why tourists made pilgrimages to the place to bathe in it early on.
