On foot, we walk around the cross-crowned Eichelberg on a short and easy hike without any strenuous climbs. Under mighty rock faces along to two viewpoints above the village of Busenberg.
As a starting point, we use the popular Hexenplätzel car park, which can be reached via the forest road past the sports field. The entrance to the narrow rock path is not far to the right of the raised water tank, where a few steps lead to the entrance.

The flat and entertaining path leads across the slope of the Eichelberg to the first viewpoint (with rest area) above the village. Before we continue our way around a small rock in a northerly direction, you should take the "Eichelbergplatte" viewpoint with a bench - it is definitely worth it. The distant view widens even more there in an easterly direction and offers a more comprehensive panorama.
