    Beautiful city of Lahic. Lots of spices and handmade things to buy. There are supposed to be bears and wolves in the surrounding areas, as well as guard dogs. So talk with locals before heading out.

      Old village that is worth exploring if you are nearby. Some of the real old handicrafts are still for sale. There is also a museum. Otherwise, it's just tourist goods as usual. The area is also fantastic for hiking.

        Lahic (also spelled Lahich or Lahij) is a historic mountain village in the Ismayilli District of Azerbaijan, situated on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. The village is known as a living museum for the traditional crafts that have been practiced here for centuries.

        Key features of Lahic:

        Craft center: Lahic is world-renowned for its coppersmithing. The sound of hammers on metal echoes through the narrow, cobblestone streets. Lahic's traditional copperworking is included on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In addition to copperworking, the residents are also skilled in carpet weaving, leatherworking, and jewelry making.

        Architecture: Lahic's houses are built in a distinctive style that is resistant to the earthquakes that frequently occur in the region. The narrow alleys and stone buildings give the village a unique, historic atmosphere.
