            The "Passage Mandrack", a passage through a rock formation, is only about 40 cm wide at a short narrow point at the entrance in the shoulder area.                               The passage was named after hiking friend Manuel Andrack, the following is the article from the hiking magazine
                              “…it turned out that a baptism took place. The entire rock massif was given a name: Mandrack Passage. Named after – me! This baptism was celebrated with all the excitement. Speeches, music, applause, champagne, glass against the rock. When I was told I would receive these rocks as a gift, I was generous enough to leave my gift in place for now.
                              Mandrack Passage. That made me incredibly proud. I was reassured to note that the newly christened rock ensemble had previously been nameless. So it wasn't a renaming, but a new baptism. I always thought you had to be dead for something like that to be named after you. And from 2010, the Mandrack Passage will also be marked on a new hiking map of the Müllerthal.”

                                  There are many narrow crevices to discover around Berdorf. You can often avoid the narrowest places or discover them as an option. Sometimes, however, the trail actually goes through the narrow passages. Same here. So take off your backpack and squeeze through! With a little bit of climbing you can also get around the narrowest point. I missed the crevice today and went straight through the bank instead of going right into the crevice.
